The LIS 114 and LIS 115 classes are offered every semester at the University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies.
In general, the students who take these classes learn more about children's and young adult literature - covering the historical development, issues and trends, book selection tools and principles, and the various genres in class. Moreover, the classes also discuss the reader - getting acquainted with their characteristics, needs, interests, as well as, the activities which may help one connect the young with the literature specifically for them.
